Unity Healthcare Hand Sanitizer has 99.9% bactericidal actions infused with Aloe Vera Extract for continuous moisturising effect with each sanitization. Suitable for daily use and all ages.
1) 70% Isopropy Alcohol: 70% Isopropyl alcohol (2-Propanol), also known as isopropanol or IPA, is the most common and widely used disinfectant within pharmaceutics, hospitals, cleanrooms and medical device manufacturing. 70% Isopropy Alcohol penetrate the cell wall more completely which permeates the entire cell, coagulates all proteins, and therefore the microorganism dies. Extra water content slows evaporation, therefore increasing surface contact time and enhancing effectiveness.
2) Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Extract: Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Extract can help soothe the skin and act as an anti-inflammatory agent. It has been clinically proven to be effective for healing burns, wounds and scars. When applied topically, the compound aloin in aloe vera blocks up to 30% of the UV rays and protects the skin from sun damage. It contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C, and it is highly anti-inflammatory. It can help treat burns, acne and dry skin. The enzymes in it can also help exfoliate the skin to make it smoother.
3) 0.5% Chlorhexidine: Chlorhexidine is a disinfectant and antiseptic that is used for skin disinfection before surgery and to sterilize surgical instruments. Chlorhexidine is a positively-charged molecule that binds to the negatively-charged sites on the cell wall; it destabilizes the cell wall and interferes with osmosis. The bacterial uptake of the chlorhexidine is very rapid, typically working within 20 seconds. Chlorhexidine inactivates microorganisms with a broader spectrum than other antimicrobials (e.g. antibiotics) and has a quicker kill rate than other antimicrobials (e.g. povidone-iodine). It has both bacteriostatic (inhibits bacterial growth) and bactericidal (kills bacteria) mechanisms of action, depending on its concentration.
